Oricon has announced the top selling books for the first half of 2011 on their website today. Here is the list of the top 10 best selling light novels for the first half of 2011.
While Baka and Test takes top spot, Infinite Stratos dominates the chart taking 5 of the top 10 places. One other thing to note is all of these except for one, Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, have already been animated. An anime adaptation of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai was announced earlier in the month.
How can they announce it for the first half of the year when it has only been 5 months? Oricon's announcing periods begin in December and end in November. Thus while labeled as the "first half," the actual reporting period is November 22nd 2010 through May 22nd 2011.
